Our protagonist and amateur detective is surgical resident Julianne Davis who belongs to a running club and trains for a marathon. This news about the missing jogger is worrisome to Julianne but did not really hit home until her friend from the running club, Lucy, also disappears. Despite Julianne’s cardinal rule never to mix work and personal life, she is convinced her friends’ life is in grave danger. She reaches out to her fellow resident, the charming and handsome Logan Williams for help. Logan seeing the seriousness of the situation involves his brother Harrison, who is also a Private Investigator.
In the midst of getting deeper into solving this mystery, a love triangle forms. And oh my goodness you will just have to read the rest to find out who wins Julianne’s heart while solving this missing persons’ case that is heading deep into dangerous territory.
This is Everlee’s debut novel and it was a refreshing read with fun quirky characters I enjoyed reading about. I loved that a few twists were added to the story which added to its thrilling and suspenseful element. Everlee is an author to watch for and will be looking forward to her future novels.
