Cecily wants a big life, but can she handle it?

Cecily feels like she has it all: great best friends, the beginnings of a career as a model/actress, and she's dating her favorite singer, Andrew Holiday. Then Cecily's best friend Lila begins to ditch her every time Lila's boyfriend calls. Cecily feels lost, but she and Andrew begin connecting more and she's never been in a relationship where she felt so understood. Andrew even begins to confide in her about his anxiety. Soon Cecily experiences her own anxiety on a magazine photo shoot, but she manages to impress the magazine staff. Just when it seems like all her dreams are coming true, everything comes crashing down when a photo of Andrew with another girl appears online. He swears nothing happened, but Cecily is crushed. She feels like she's lost two of the people closest to her.

Was her perfect relationship real or was she in over her head?

THOUGHTS/REVIEW:

In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety by Krysten Lindsay Hager is the second book in this YA contemporary romance and coming of age Cecily Taylor Series. A great follow up from Book One, Can Dreams Come True? which I enjoyed a lot and had fun reading.

Cecily and Andrew are now an official couple and I love these two characters giving me swoon. Cecily gets an awesome opportunity in New York with Andrew's help, and she blows the job out of the water. Cecily is obviously very talented. However, just when you think life is going great, some bumps in the road challenges this budding relationship. I love that Hager writes characters with depth and emotional growth that is relatable and realistic. The cast of characters are also a joy to read about as well, even those characters that I was not really fond of.

Overall, I found that the series was a great read that I thoroughly enjoyed for the characters, dialogue and all the angst you come to expect in a YA read. I enjoyed the story lines, the drama, the relationships and growth of the characters and how they handled the issues that come their way. Glad I had the opportunity to read this series. Highly entertaining and I loved it.
