REVIEW:
This rhyming picture book is amazing for teaching children that feelings are valid and they are okay. It's okay to be sad and to acknowledge those feelings and then find a resolution to be happy once again. This book is so comforting and explores those emotions in such a beautiful and compassionate way.
“I’ll smile and take a bow! Never will I vow to disallow my inner wow!
The illustrations are amazing and really did evoke the feelings of sadness and the reality of those emotions. I loved that the overall feel of the book was enhanced by the amazing illustrations of this picture book.
The messaging is deep and resonated with me. I loved Plaid - anyone that has a family dog will right away say "yeah, why is that no matter what happens, our fur babies always loves us back unconditionally". We are in control of our emotions and it is up to us to move on and get over it. The power is within us, and what a lesson to be learned by everyone, adult and children alike.
This book is so empowering to teach our children about emotions, and to be able to see the positivity and empowerment of controlling our own inner strength just like Brad.
