I was a huge fan of "The Jane Austen Society" when I read it last year. So I am so excited to have the opportunity to read an early copy of "Bloomsbury Girls" that was even a more delightful read for me, that follows Evie from Jenner's previous novel. The Bloomsbury Girls follow three women - the ever so fashionable and witty Vivien Lowry, a mother's strength is tested through Grace Perkins, and our scholar from Cambridge Evie Stone who is doing her best to path her own way in a man's world. 

Bloomsbury Girls is set during post war London when everything is moving at a fast pace, where society is demanding to keep up with the times, in this impressive novel that is the perfect read with lots of cameos from some of my favorite female authors.

This novel was definitely charming, heart warming, and impossible to put down, I mean a historical fiction novel set in a bookstore, interweaving some of the most famous names in classical literature made this truly a book lovers' dream read.

Dear readers, I am immensely grateful for the outpouring of affection that so many of you have expressed for my debut novel The Jane Austen Society and its eight main characters. When I wrote its epilogue (in one go and without ever changing a word), I wanted to give each of Adam, Mimi, Dr. Gray, Adeline, Yardley, Frances, Evie and Andrew the happy Austenesque ending they each deserved. But I could not let go of servant girl Evie Stone, the youngest and only character inspired by real life (my mother, who had to leave school at age fourteen, and my daughter, who does eighteenth-century research for a university professor and his team). Bloomsbury Girls continues Evie’s adventures into a 1950s London bookshop where there is a battle of the sexes raging between the male managers and the female staff, who decide to pull together their smarts, connections, and limited resources to take over the shop and make it their own. There are dozens of new characters in Bloomsbury Girls from several different countries, and audiobook narration was going to require a female voice of the highest training and caliber. REVIEW

THE MURDER OF MR. WICKHAM by Claudia Gray was certainly a delight to read, combining two of my favorite authors, Jane Austen and Agatha Christie, in one fantastic and amazing read. I was thinking to myself how brilliant this really was.

I loved the premise and was really intrigued to pick up this book. And yes, Mr Wickham was definitely an unliked character, and when he was found dead, the game was certainly afoot. Glad to know he got what was coming to him. I loved trying to find the clues and guess which of the Austen characters might have been the culprit. This was certainly a great whodunnit novel.

I also want to point out how amazing the cover is, and I was so excited to devour this amazing Regency period mystery. I love reading Austen and seeing the known to me characters as murder suspects in a closed room mystery, were all so exciting to read about.

Overall - great writing and brilliant concept. Do pick this book up.
